Critical care or Intensive care is a medical specialty caring for patients who are critically ill, which includes patients who require hemodynamic support (hypertension/hypotension), airway or respiratory compromise (ventilator support), acute renal failure (AKI), cardiac arrhythmias, sepsis - multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), poisoning cases and snake bite victims.
